Some people are unsure of what the term "hospice" means. To put someone in hospice means to put someone under care designed for those who are terminally ill or for those who are very near passing. The reason that hospice was created was to give the elderly and the terminally ill a dignified death, with as little pain as is possible. It makes passing that much easier for both the patient and their families.
